Grief & Anger: A Somatic Ritual for Emotional Transformation

Anger & Grief: A Somatic Ritual for Emotional Transformation

Anger and grief are among the most misunderstood and suppressed human emotions. Many of us are taught to fear anger, avoid grief, or hold everything quietly inside.

This guided workshop led by Juliette Sutherland offers a safe, structured space to reconnect with these powerful emotional energies through somatic movement, reclamation of voice and group witnessing.

This workshop is for people who:

  • Feel disconnected from their anger or afraid of it

  • Carry unexpressed grief, sadness, or heaviness

  • Tend to suppress emotions or “hold it together”

  • Feel stuck, tense, numb, or emotionally blocked

  • Are curious about somatic / body-based emotional work

  • Want a safe, structured space to feel and release

No prior experience with meditation, somatic work, or emotional expression is required.

Participants will explore:

  • Nervous system regulation

  • Somatic techniques to access emotions without becoming overwhelmed

  • Voice and sound practices for grief and release

  • A collective ritual of expression, release, and integration

  • Learning how to listen to oneself and given a toolbox to expand on to support their needs

This workshop may not be appropriate for those experiencing acute psychological distress, severe trauma symptoms, or emotional instability. Please use your own judgment and care.
