Some nights you need to sit in a room with strangers and remember that tenderness is resistance, that your beating heart is a miracle, that we’re all just trying to find language for the ache and the light.
For the grief astronomers among us, for anyone who’s ever needed art to locate themselves in the dark, Good Medicine presents a screening of the Andrea Gibson documentary: Come See Me in the Good Light. We’ll kick off the evening with a community open-mic poetry reading. Your voice matters, whether you share a poem or just listen.
Tickets are donation-based suggested sliding scale $10-$50 with 100% of proceeds going to the Good Medicine nonprofit for scholarships specifically supporting queer mental health treatment at Riverbird Psychedelic Assisted Therapy Clinic.
We hope you’ll join us to relish in the powerful words of one of the most important poets of our time, Andrea Gibson.
